Founded in 2016 by Managing Director John Steward, TMIC is built on more than 25 years of hands-on engineering expertise in large-scale machinery installations and turnkey projects within the vegetable packing and processed food sectors worldwide. John's career began at Herbert Engineering from the age of 20, where he advanced through key roles in installation and project management, establishing a strong reputation for delivering successfully in demanding on-site conditions, tight timelines, and high-stakes environments. This deep-rooted industry knowledge forms the foundation of TMIC's operations and drives our unwavering commitment to excellence.

At the core of our identity and DNA is the renowned Herbert brand-synonymous with durable, high-performance equipment for root vegetable handling, washing, grading, sorting, and processing. Key Technology owns the Herbert brand, having acquired Herbert Solutions in 2020 to expand its portfolio of potato and vegetable solutions. In close partnership with Key Technology, TMIC proudly serves as the official manufacturer and exclusive distributor of genuine Herbert machinery for the UK and Ireland.

We act as dedicated stewards of this iconic heritage brand, safeguarding its legacy of engineering excellence while actively advancing it through modern innovations-including new Herbert washers, de-stoners, Oculus system enhancements, eVEBT capabilities, and expanded product lines. Our experienced engineers ensure every machine we design, build, install, or support upholds the brand's longstanding standards of reliability, longevity, and superior performance.

TMIC combines in-house manufacturing of modular, low-maintenance conveyors, elevators, roller tables, evenflow systems, and custom solutions with a comprehensive suite of services: strategic project management, equipment supply, precision installation, relocation, decommissioning, maintenance, and ongoing technical support.
